Starting a Business in 2020

Some people probably think it's crazy of me to be starting a business that requires events to be taking place in the middle of a global pandemic. They would definitely not be wrong either. Even though I know it's crazy and that my business will start out very slow, I have confidence that what I'm doing is going to be successful. As we get closer to a COVID vaccine, I'm hopeful that events will be happening more often than ever in the next year. People who have to reschedule weddings, reunions, anniversaries, and whatever other events that were supposed to happen this year are just waiting for it to be safe again. Of course we have masks, testing, and common sense to help stop the spread of COVID, but I think we're all ready for that to be gone too.
Maybe this idea is too crazy to work. Maybe the cotton candy cart will end up just sitting in my kitchen, getting used for the occasional movie night or birthday party. Maybe I'm going to regret starting any of this, but I don't think so. I think that everyone is looking for something new and refreshing. Everyone wants to celebrate in unique and different ways. We can easily serve cotton candy in a socially distant manner, as well as wear masks and sanitize when necessary (and maybe even more). We can use packaging, make the cart COVID friendly, and wear our masks. I'm confident in my ability to be safe and keep others safe no matter where I am.
I'm so hopeful for this business. I hope that it brings joy to everyone we encounter. I hope I am a part of that joy. I'm going into this with so much faith that it is going to work and be a good thing. I hope anyone reading this will join me on this journey by following my social media and this blogs that we can navigate this crazy time together.
